1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile photo when you create an account.
• User Content: Tasks, memories, special dates, and other content you create within the App.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics to improve the App experience.
• Device Information: Device type and operating system version for compatibility purposes.
• Location: Your device location, but only if you grant permission. See section 3 below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Sync data between you and your partner
• Send important service notifications
• Improve and optimize the App

3. Location

Location sharing is optional and off until you turn it on. If you grant location permission, CoupleOS uses your location to show your partner where you are, how far apart you two are, your city, and the local weather, both inside the App and on your partner's home screen and Lock Screen widgets.

If you grant "Always" permission, your location can also update while the App is closed, so your partner sees where you are now rather than the last time you happened to open the App. If you grant "While Using the App" instead, your location only updates while the App is open.

Your location is visible to one person: the partner you are paired with. It is never shown to anyone else, never sold, and never shared with advertisers or data brokers. We store only your most recent location, not a history of where you have been.

You stay in control. You can change or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings, and unpairing from your partner stops all location sharing immediately.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit and at rest to protect your information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

• With your linked partner within the App (shared content only)
• When required by law or legal process
• With service providers who assist in operating the App (under strict confidentiality)

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Opt out of analytics collection

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

CoupleOS is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
